If you have a copy of your birth parent's marriage certificate, following are some of the information you can acquire.

• the respective names, birth dates, addresses, and occupations of the bride and groom
• when and where the marriage took place
• your biological grandparents' names and birthplaces
• the names and addresses of the marriage ceremony witnesses
• the name and address of the presiding official
• any previous marriages your birth parents may have had

Marriage registers are only released to the parties concerned, the direct relatives of the bride and groom, and authorized representatives.
